Petenrock I didn't know you were a scuba diver. You probably already got my navy anchor last year then. Dead center of the gates about 40 yards south of them.

Trackerrat, that's a big negative. This anchor had a soda bottle tied to the end of the rope which was still floating. I dove down and pulled the anchor out from under a tree.

All the gates are open still with minimal current. I just freed an anchor from below the dam which was recently lost. If you can describe it to me I can get it back to you.

Nice day out Thursday, so I put the boat in at the rock and went up river towards the dam, that’s when a nice day turned out to be a bad day, first I hit a sand bar that was never there before, (note to self-river always changes) then I clogged the water pump up, so I trolled all the way back to the Boat lunch with the trolling motor, and then to top it off someone ran over my planer board. For all my effort 1 smallmouth one 30LB carp, took me 4 hours to get back to the boat ramp,If it was a windy day I may still be out there.

@ westfield

Gates are closed and the water has cleared a bit. Pretty tough fishing the last few days unless you want the cats. Mixed bag of shorties, Crappie and white's for me but nothing I could consistently target.

Fished the Rock 18, 19, 20th. Trolling didnt produce in the lake or river. Bunch of boats catching cats at the dam. Lot of current. Drifting live baits in the first mile below the dam produced a mixed bag. All our eyes were shorts. Hoping for safe ice now.
