FISHING REPORT
3/31/15 10:47 PM CST
Conditions: Partly Sunny Water Temp: Below 40° F
Went out at 730 am till 1130am. Very foggy and calm when I got there. Caught 7 shorts an one 16" first 2 hours. Fished in 20 fow. I relocated to the west wall and hooked into a 38" musky. Super excited becouse this was my first ever. That fish fought like a champ and was released within a minute of the catch. I think I was more suprized that I landed it using my walleye setup and 6 lb line. Also, if it matters the walleyes were milking first I saw this year. Stay safe and tight lines

FISHING REPORT
3/30/15 10:39 AM CST
Conditions: Sunny Air Temp: 31° - 35° F Water Temp: Below 40° F
Fished below the Dam from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM on Saturday. Wind picked up from the south as we launched. Caught 15 walleye on minnows. All under 15"s. Partner hooked a monster "something" that bent his rod in half for 5 minutes, before it swam around the anchor line and broke off. Tried castmasters, ring worms, and catfish nuggets. No action. Water slow. All gates closed. Watched 2 fishers located between us and the dam boat 30+ undersized walleye in 2 hours. They had the spot and the skill to stay busier than the other 20+ boats below the dam. All new fishers were courteous and stayed outside of the casting range the anchored boats in zone.

Very cold today and a slow bite. Hopefully things will improve as the temp rises. Most of our fish came on live bait rigs and jigs with a couple on plastics. When they hit, they thumped it good but mostly shorts. Good luck to everyone this weekend.

Sorry to hear that. Reminds me of a few years back I was walking back to my car/trailer at castle rock dam when a father and his son whom he had along and could be no more than 5 gave me a horrified look and ran to their car and sped out. When I got to my trailer they stole the bow mount roller off my trailer. I'll never forget his little sons horrified look like they were going to be caught. Nice thing to expose you son to it takes all types.

hunt-fish you are right, but sadly this happens at a number of ramps in the areas of Adams Co. At this point in time it is up to us to look out for each other as fisherman.

If it is Adams Co. then Westfields post is even more relevant. There is a lot more Sheriffs with nothing to do than wardens.

Westfield, The state or DNR do not have control over the ramp, it is now in the hands of Adams Co. and has been for a number of years. The state gave it the the Co. or close it for good.
