FISHING REPORT
2/23/15 10:02 AM CST
I was on Crystal around 6:15 Sat morning and caught one perch. Marked others but nobody was willing to bite. Lots of ice, trucks driving all over.

If it was the hotspot, I doubt they'd post it all over here. Give it a try. I tried 3 different lakes that day, and the one perch was all I could get, total.

Ice Depth: 14" Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 36° - 40° F
Fished this afternoon til dark out from the boat landing 12=14' water. One 8" perch lost a couple others on tip down. Plenty of truck travel on "roads" with the drifts busted through. Beautiful day to fish.

I didn't check the ice depth since I always walk but plenty of vehicles out tonight. Deep snow in places, people getting hung up and 4wd is pretty much a must. (or AWD like the subaru I saw)

The fish were off, then on for 20 min, then back off again like a light switch. If you weren't there for the magic then it was skunkville it seemed...

Was out this am. Some drifts up to your knees. Had no problems with an Escape. I WOULD NOT take a car out....or bring a shovel. One small Perch and one small bass. Fished from 445-830.

Ice Depth: 13"
Have not been out since Saturday but trucks were driving all over. Ice was 13-14 inches in every hole I drilled. I would imagine there are probably some good sized drifts out there. 4 wheel drive would be a must and a little common sense to know not to slow down when the snow gets deep. Have seen plenty of guys get stuck out there in past years. Good luck!

FISHING REPORT
2/4/15 12:21 AM CST
Second time night fishing Crappies this year and did pretty good tonight. Ended the night at 8:15 cause I figured it would take me an hour to dig myself outta the boat landing launch....I was right. I apologize to anyone living in the area, as I ripped my muffler off exiting the lake....or trying to! Report: Swapped all my Crappie set-ups over to 6lb Green Berkley. Ran nothing but crappie minnows as I always do. #12-14 trebles. Fished from about 545-815. Ended the night 11 Crapp1es (crystal lake keepers) and 1 Perch just shy on 12". Had to play with the lighting quite a bit to figure it out.

I did some searching and found their Facebook page, with results.

Looks like a couple nice northerns were turned in. 5 panfish totaling just over 2 lbs isn't terrible. Those are some solid bass that were caught.

From talking to Dave it was a good turn out, they had 232 people registered by 9am, big bass I heard was around 5.6 lbs and 26" long, thats what was filtered back to us from other fisherman, biggest we caught was 3.3lbs. I did not hear of many panfish caught, some perch, some crappie. I heard no northerns were turned in by 11am, dont know if any were by 2pm.

Ice Depth: 8" Conditions: Partly Sunny
pretty sure I found the skinny ice last friday am. Straight across from the boat landing (NNE) close to shore. I had 8" in one hole and 12-13" in all the rest. If you head that way, stay out from shore a ways (50-75yards)....It's probably put on another inch or two by now.

The 6" ice was straigth off the boat landing on the north side well past shanty/permanent city, I was the only one that far out.
